Global Link Logistics (GLL), a leader in containerized ocean freight transportation and supply chain visibility, and one of the leading NVOCCs specializing in the transportation of furniture in the in Transpacific/U.S. trade lane is pleased to announce they have partnered with M+R Forwarding of China to merge their current China operations with the M+R network.
The combined organization increases China coverage from 3 to 13 offices, offers significantly increased warehousing solutions, consolidation services, expanded air freight capabilities, and new origin services. This improved infrastructure will allow Global Link Logistics to expand the number of locations from which FLEX (Furniture Less than container EXpress), the innovative shipping solution that was introduced to the market little over a year ago, can be utilized.
Given the difficulty many importers and retailers are experiencing in the current economic environment, GLL has responded to customer needs for services that will help drive down landed costs. The partnership with M+R enhances the current portfolio of services:
- Increases China offices from 3 to 13, including Guangzhou and Lianyungang
- Combines our infrastructure and office network, allowing both companies to lower our operating costs going forward.
- Expands FLEX service to offer FLEX Direct service from Tianjin, Qingdao, Dalian, Ningbo and Xiamen, with opportunities for Full FLEX as demand warrants.
- Adds warehousing capabilities in 7 new cities using a best-in-class WMS in each.
- Adds M+R’s trusted Quality Assurance service and expands our Purchase Order Management solution.
